Privacy Policy

Cliperino is an Android clipboard and organization app developed by Vinsho. This policy explains how the app handles information and how the public Cliperino website is hosted. The website is informational; it is not a browser version of the app.
Content You Choose to Save
Cliperino handles clips, notes, templates, folders, folder names, pins, saved images, ordering, protection information, and app settings. You choose what to save through actions such as clipboard import, Android sharing, selected-text actions, image import, OCR, and the optional overlay.
Content is stored locally on your device unless you choose to export, share, back up, or sync it. Vinsho does not operate a server for your saved content or a content inbox service.
Cliperino does not promise silent background clipboard history on modern Android. Android restrictions mean saving content depends on explicit actions rather than reliable automatic background capture.
Local Protection and Recovery
Optional local protection uses an AES-encrypted vault with PIN access and supported biometric unlocking. Notes attached to protected items intentionally remain visible while those items are locked. Never put secrets in those notes.
Your PIN is local and independent on each device. It is not sent to Google Drive. Keep your local recovery code and any backup credentials somewhere safe outside the app. Local recovery codes and sync recovery passwords serve different recovery purposes.
Protecting a saved image does not remove the original from your camera roll, image provider, or another app. Content that you copy, share, paste, or export is also subject to the protections of its destination. Protection cannot make those external copies private.
Backup Files and Exports
Cliperino supports local exports. Older app versions also offer optional legacy Google Drive backup through Android's document picker. That backup uses a document you select or create; it is separate from Drive Sync.
Portable version 4 backups are encrypted when the local vault is enrolled. Historical unencrypted backup formats from unenrolled installations may still be accepted where safe. Do not assume every exported or historical backup is encrypted. Keep backup files and the credentials needed to restore them secure.
Backups can contain saved content, images, folders, templates, protection information, and related export metadata. Files remain in the location you select until you remove them there.
Optional Google Drive Sync
Optional Premium Drive Sync synchronizes the full library, including clips, folders, templates, images, ordering, and protection information. Enabling it requires explicit consent to full-library sync and Google authorization for the account you select.
Sync requests only the Google Drive drive.appdata scope, which permits access to Cliperino's hidden application data. It does not request access to your other Drive files. Google handles account authorization; your Google password is not shared with Vinsho.
Saved content and sync media are encrypted on your device before upload and decrypted on authorized devices. Password-encrypted recovery-key records are also stored in Drive. Keep your sync recovery password and access to your authorized devices safe. If all usable keys and recovery access are lost, encrypted content cannot be recovered by the developer.
Encryption does not mean every piece of metadata is hidden. Opaque identifiers, revisions, and metadata used to reconcile changes between devices are stored alongside encrypted records. Google also handles account, storage, and service information under its own policies.
Sync uses your Google Drive storage quota, shared with your other Google storage usage, not a Vinsho content server. Sync runs during foreground opportunities in the Android app; it is not a continuous background or live-sync guarantee.
Information received through Google APIs is used only to provide the backup or sync feature you choose, not for advertising targeting or sale. Its use and transfer are subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Deletion and Retention
You can delete content in the app. Clearing app data or uninstalling may remove local content, so preserve anything you need first.
When sync is enabled, item deletions propagate through sync. However, old encrypted revisions, conflict versions, and deletion markers can remain in Drive's sync history. Deleting an item in the app does not guarantee erasure of all historical records. Changing a password does not retroactively revoke access to copies or keys someone already possesses.
Disconnecting sync, revoking access, clearing local data, or uninstalling does not erase cloud records or exported backups. You can manage Cliperino's hidden application data in Google Drive Settings, under Manage Apps, and delete app data there. You can also revoke Cliperino's access through your Google Account settings. These are separate actions: revoking access does not itself delete the stored data. Delete legacy backup documents and exported files in their chosen locations separately.
There is no single retention period for content you keep on your device or in destinations you control. Third-party providers handle their own service records under their policies; this policy does not promise a particular retention period for those records.
OCR and Permissions
OCR uses Google ML Kit components to detect text in images you select or capture when you start that flow. Cliperino does not use OCR permission as authorization to read everything in other apps.
Depending on the feature, Android may request camera, image or document-provider access, notification permission, or permission to display an overlay. The optional overlay provides access to saved items and explicit import actions; it does not mean Cliperino can read all other apps' content. You can manage permissions in Android settings. Denying access may limit the relevant feature.
App Analytics and Crash Diagnostics
The production Android app uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand usage and diagnose crashes and stability problems. These services may process app and device identifiers, app and operating-system versions, device information, usage events, event times, approximate region, crash reports, and diagnostic information.
Usage events can describe actions such as saves, feature use, overlay opens, backup or sync actions, and purchase flows. Cliperino does not intentionally send clip text, notes, template content, folder names, saved images, PINs, or recovery passwords to analytics, crash diagnostics, or purchase providers.
Purchases
Google Play handles purchases and payment processing. RevenueCat supports premium purchase status and entitlement management. These providers may process purchase and transaction identifiers, app user identifiers, product identifiers, purchase or entitlement status, and related app and device information. Google handles payment and account information under its own policies.
Website Hosting
The public website consists of static branding and legal pages hosted on Cloudflare. The website itself has no analytics, advertising pixels, externally loaded fonts, login, or Google Drive access, and does not set its own cookies. It does not collect or display your saved Cliperino library.
Cloudflare may process request information such as IP addresses and security or access logs to deliver and protect the website. Its processing is described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Providers and Sharing
Cliperino does not sell personal data or use Google user data for advertising targeting. Providers process information as needed for the chosen feature, app distribution, analytics, diagnostics, purchases, hosting, or applicable legal obligations.
Relevant provider policies include:
- Google Privacy Policy for Google Play, Google Drive, and Google services.
- Firebase privacy information for Analytics and Crashlytics.
- RevenueCat Privacy Policy for purchase management.
- Cloudflare Privacy Policy for website hosting.
Your Choices and Security
You control what you save, export, share, and sync. You can leave optional Drive backup, Drive Sync, and overlay access disabled, manage Android permissions, manage purchases through Google Play, and delete local or cloud data as described above.
No storage, encryption, or transmission method is perfectly secure. Protect your device, Google account, backup files, and recovery credentials. Local protection is not a guarantee against a compromised device or exposure through external copies.
Children's Privacy
Cliperino is intended for general productivity use and is not directed to children.
Changes and Contact
This policy may change as the app or website evolves. The date above identifies the latest update.
For privacy questions or requests, contact Vinsho using the developer contact details on the Cliperino Google Play listing. Do not include saved secrets, PINs, or recovery credentials in a support request.
